SAM SEVERINO

Sam is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist (Speech Pathology Australia) and the founder and director of Keep It Simple Speech.

Sam has experience with administering assessment and providing intervention to a mixed caseload of children, adolescents and adults who have difficulties across speech, language, fluency, literacy and social communication. She is experienced in working with neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals including Developmental Language Disorder, speech sound delay/disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disorder (previously known as dyslexia), Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease and Global Developmental Delay.

Sam believes in a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to therapy, including ensuring that all individuals are supported holistically to meet their needs and achieve their goals. She is committed to ensuring ethical and evidence-based practice through ongoing completion of professional development courses and participation in a variety of interest groups. Some of Sam's training has included training dedicated to neurodiversity affirming practice, Sounds-Write (literacy), Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (social communication), Tuning into Kids (emotion coaching) and Lee-Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT).
